I’ve been a heart-led entrepreneur since I was 11, and I’ve gotten lost many times along that path. This is a community for us to wander & dream, using your innate curiosity, magic, creativity & gut to lead you authentically along your creative and business ventures 🌱
To celebrate, following my gut today I decided to finally release/publish a book I’ve been working on for a while… I’ll share more about that in a moment but first, you get a peek inside. This is the first chapter.

Where do we even begin?
Throughout my childhood, I always secretly dreamed that I would one day fulfill my destiny and become a witch. I felt the typical naw and ache of anxiety well up within my chest as I pondered if my dad would believe me when I turned 16 and inevitably gained my magic powers. I used to inquire, nervously, “Daddy, do you promise you’ll believe me if I become a witch? PROMISE?!?!?!?!” To which he always replied “yes.” (Not buying it!)
I wonder if my Sabrina the Teenage Witch induced prophecy spiraled into minor anxiety because I feared feeling alone. If I one day received special powers, that clearly would go against what is accepted as normal, possible, and human by everyone in society: what would become of me? Who would I turn to with my secret that seemed so impossible yet was not? How would I navigate the isolation of having a gift that could change not only my life, but others as well? And why is something that has sparkly, life changing, wondrous power so bad? I didn’t ponder this deeply at the time, but I am curious in the present. During the midst of my childhood witchy dreams, I never could’ve anticipated that it would really come true (even though I hoped it would)! And, while it doesn’t look exactly like I thought - no wands or spell-books, no ‘other realms’ through a broom closet, no rabbits coming out of hats - it’s even better than I could have imagined.
By the time I was 16, I had indeed become a witch, but retained my mortal form. My magic lies in my creativity. My main power source: my ability to write poetry and connect with others. My magic wand: my pencil and my voice. My spell-book: a blank journal and my heart. Additional power sources: My connection to expressing with creativity in multiple forms, the gratitude in receiving other’s art, and my entrepreneurial spirit. Origin of my special, unique magic: only the universe knows. Other humans who wield the same magic: only the reader (you!) holding this book.
Now let’s discover it together.

Poetry isn’t something that I do. It’s the way I see the world -it’s who I am.
So when I was choosing what words would be displayed on the cover of my poetry book (20 year Old Butterfly), I knew I wanted to give a spotlight to the fact that I write without editing my poetry. It was instinctive, something that needed to be said.
But in that moment, I didn’t realize how far this idea of “without edits” - would travel. I’m now finding how it applies to so many areas of creativity, entrepreneurship, and life itself. I think I may have transported myself into a whole life philosophy that was always there within me, but never had words or a description. This makes my mouth curl into the slightest smile…
This book is a living, breathing example of Creativity Without Edits. It’s not what I initially envisioned as it sort of took on a life of its own, but it turned into an even sweeter treasure. I view this as a little spell book, sort of a way to plant the seed within you of your creative magic potential.
I can’t wait to dive into this space, alongside 20 Year Old Butterfly, and share all the things I’ve been wishing to express around creative entrepreneurship ✨
